Smoking Areas
Voters of Ohio approved Issue 5 banning smoking immediately adjacent to locations of ingress and egress. Employers must be able to ensure smoke from outside does not enter into the building through doors, windows, or ventilation systems.
What this means is there can be no more smoking near any entrance, etc. As always, no smoking is permitted inside the college's facilities.
In an effort to accommodate smokers and to comply with Issue 5, EGCC permits smoking on the outer side of the drive way surrounding the Jefferson County Campus.
Smoking provisions at the college's other sites are directed by the site's leadership and must be followed by Eastern Gateway students and employees.
