Relief Receptionist/Switchboard Operator

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:  greet students and visitors; answer and route phone calls to the appropriate individual or department and handle incoming and outgoing mail.

Required qualifications include high school diploma with clerical experience preferred.  Must be courteous, reliable, dependable, and punctual. 

One position is available at the Steubenville campus.

 

Financial Aid Specialist

Eastern Gateway Community College is accepting applications for a full-time Financial Aid Specialist. This bargaining unit position will be based at the main campus in Steubenville, Ohio. The successful candidate will provide varied support services to the Director of Student Financial Services as well as specialized tasks related to student financial aid programs.  Responsible with other staff to greet and wait on students on a walk-in basis.

Required qualifications include high school diploma, an Associate’s Degree is preferred.  Two years general clerical experience; some college courses in business/accounting preferred. Must possess strong computer skills, specifically with MS Word and Excel. Familiarity with PowerFAIDS and PowerCAMPUS software is a plus. Attention to detail with ability to compile, organize and prepare reports is essential.  Individual must be able to relate effectively with people from various economic backgrounds. 

 

Recruiter 

Eastern Gateway Community College invites applications for a full-time recruiter position that will be based at the Eastern Gateway Community College site in Youngstown, Ohio and one at the campus in Steubenville, Ohio.  This position will be responsible for recruiting traditional and non-traditional students for enrollment with the College by conducting presentations and promoting the College to prospective students at public events.  A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in sales and/or marketing.  Previous experience preferred.

Enrollment Specialist

Eastern Gateway Community College invites applications for a full-time enrollment specialist position that will be based at the EGCC site in Youngstown.  

Adjunct (part-time) Teaching Positions 

Eastern Gateway Community College invites applications for the following adjunct faculty positions which are needed at various sites in Jefferson, Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull counties.  The positions will be available beginning Fall Semester 2015.  Candidates must possess excellent written and oral communications skills with an ability to teach a diverse student body.  May teach a combination of day, evening, or weekend classes.  Unless otherwise specified, successful candidates must have a master’s degree in the appropriate/related discipline with 1-3 years’ teaching experience preferred.

STATE TESTED NURSES AID INSTRUCTOR.

State Tested Nurses Aid InstructorSTNA) primary instructor; current RN license, 2 years long term care experience, Train the Trainer qualification.

NURSING

The successful candidate must have a B.S.N., current valid licensure with the State of Ohio, and at least two years’ experience in the practice of nursing.  

BIOLOGY

The successful candidate must have a master's degree in biology with 1-3 years' teaching experience preferred.

ELECTRONICS

The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree in electronics with 1-3 years' teaching experience preferred. 

DRAFTING AND DESIGN

The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree in engineering with 1-3 years' teaching experience preferred. 

SURVEYOR

The successful candidate must be a licensed surveyor or hold a bachelor's degree in engineering; previous teaching experience preferred. 

PHYSICS

The successful candidate must have a master's degree in physics with 1-3 years' teaching experience preferred. 

SPANISH

The successful candidate must have a master's degree in Spanish or be a native speaker with 1-3 years' teaching experience preferred.

ART

The successful candidate must have a master's degree in art with 1-3 years' teaching experience preferred.

SOCIOLOGY

The successful candidate must have a master's degree in sociology/psychology with 1-3 years teaching experience preferred.

ECONOMICS

Based at Jefferson County Campus.  Master's in Economics or MBA with Economics required.

PHILOSOPHY

Based at Jefferson County Campus.  Master's in Philosophy required.

COMMUNICATIONS/SPEECH>

Based at Warren Center.  Master's in Speech/Communications required.

SIGN LANGUAGE

American Sign Language certification required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.

COMMUNICATIONS

Master's degree in communications or master's degree with 18 graduate hour in communications required.

ECONOMICS

Master's degree in economics or master's degree with 18 graduate hours in economics or MBA required.

  1. A cover letter indicating what classes you are interested in teaching and when you are available to teach; i.e. days, evenings, weekends. Also indicate if you are qualified to teach on-line classes.
  2. A current resume
  3. Copies of college transcripts (If you are selected for a teaching position, you will be required to supply official transcripts.)
