Adjunct (part-time) Teaching Positions 

Eastern Gateway Community College invites applications for the following adjunct faculty positions which are needed at various sites in Jefferson, Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull counties.  The positions will be available beginning Spring Semester 2015.  Candidates must possess excellent written and oral communications skills with an ability to teach a diverse student body.  May teach a combination of day, evening, or weekend classes.  Unless otherwise specified, successful candidates must have a master’s degree in the appropriate/related discipline with 1-3 years’ teaching experience preferred.

NURSING
The successful candidate must have a B.S.N., current valid licensure with the State of Ohio, and at least two years’ experience in the practice of nursing.  This position is located at the Jefferson County Campus.

DEVELOPMENTAL MATH

The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in math or related field with 1-3 years’ teaching experience preferred. This position will be located at the Valley Center and at the Warren Center.

COMMUNICATIONS
The successful candidate must have a master's degree in communications or master's degree with 18 graduate hours in communications with 1-3 years' teaching experience preferred. This position will be located at the Valley Center and at the Warren Center.

ELECTRONICS

The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree in electronics with 1-3 years' teaching experience preferred. This position will be located at the Jefferson County Campus.

DRAFTING

The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree in engineering with 1-3 years' teaching experience preferred. This position will be located at the Jefferson County Campus.

SURVEYOR

The successful candidate must be a licensed surveyor; previous teaching experience preferred. This position will be located at the Jefferson County Campus.

INTERACTIVE DIGITAL MEDIA

The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree in interactive digital media with 1-3 years' teaching experience preferred. This position will be located at the Jefferson County Campus.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree in information technology with 1-3 years' teaching experience preferred. This position will be located at the Jefferson County Campus.

PHYSICS

The successful candidate must have a master's degree in physics with 1-3 years' teaching experience preferred. This position will be located at the Jefferson County Campus.

COLLEGE SUCCESS PROGRAM DIRECTOR

The successful candidate preferably will have a master's degree; previous teaching experience preferred. This position will travel to all sites in the college's service district.

To be considered for an adjunct instructor, the following items must be submitted:

  1. A cover letter indicating what classes you are interested in teaching and when you are available to teach; i.e. days, evenings, weekends. Also indicate if you are qualified to teach on-line classes.
  2. A current resume
  3. Copies of college transcripts (If you are selected for a teaching position, you will be required to supply official transcripts.)
