Transcript Evaluator 

Eastern Gateway Community College invites applications for the full-time Transcript Evaluator position.  This position will be located at the Eastern Gateway Community College campus located in Steubenville, Ohio.

The Transcript Evaluator is responsible for evaluating transcripts for all students transferring to Eastern Gateway Community College from other institutions, domestic and/or foreign.

A bachelor’s degree is required.  Two years’ experience working in an admissions/registrar office in a post-secondary institution, previous student services experience and experience working with faculty/staff/students from post-secondary institution is preferred.  Knowledge of Enrollment Management software preferred. Ability to interpret state regulations as well as strong written and oral communication skills is necessary.  Comprehensive knowledge of statewide transfer system, foreign, national and military transcripts is required.  Computer literacy and excellent organizational skills required.  

 

 

Full-Time Faculty

Eastern Gateway Community College is accepting application for several full-time faculty positions available.   All positions will teach, assess and develop courses in their respective subject matter area.  All positions require excellent teaching skills and the ability to interact effectively with students in the classroom and ask as academic advisors.  Knowledge of curriculum, assessment, course and program development and experience using instructional technology is required.  Ability to use a variety of instructional strategies to support and motivate students is expected.  Applicants must be willing to teach day, evening or weekend classes.  Positions may also serve as Program Director for their subject matter area.  These are bargaining unit positions.  Salary is based on the collective bargaining agreement for a 10-month contract, commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Excellent paid benefits.  Interested individuals should send their resume, official transcripts and the names, addresses and telephone numbers of at least five professional references to: Eastern Gateway Community College c/o Administrative Services, 4000 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville, Ohio 43952.  Applications for the following full-time faculty positions will be accepted until the positions are filled.  


Business and Accounting Faculty

Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in in Business, master’s degree preferred.  Two to three years teaching experience and/or related work experience is preferred.  Experience or interest in on-line/distance education a plus.  This position will be based at the College site in Youngstown, Ohio.

Paralegal Faculty

Minimum requirements are a paralegal degree and at least five years’ work experience, Juris Doctorate preferred.  Experience or interest in on-line/distance education a plus.  This position will be based at the College site in Youngstown, Ohio.

Education Faculty

Minimum requirements include a bachelor’s degree in Education, master’s preferred. Three years teaching experience and/or related work experience is preferred. Experience or interest in on-line/distance education a plus.

Nursing Faculty

Requirements include completion of an approved registered nursing program with a valid Ohio license. Five years’ experience in the practice of registered nursing.  A bachelor’s degree in nursing is required, master’s degree is preferred. Two years teaching experience is preferred. Experience in online/distance education is a plus. 

Sociology Faculty

Minimum requirements include a master’s degree in Sociology or a master’s degree in a related field that includes at least eighteen (18) credit hours in Sociology.   Two to three years teaching experience and/or related work experience is preferred.  Experience or interest in on-line/distance education a plus.  

AmeriCorps College Completion Coach 

Eastern Gateway Community College has two full-time position openings for AmeriCorps College Coaches.  AmeriCorps College Completion Coaches are college graduates who are committed to helping other students attain their educational goals and are also dedicated to community service.

AmeriCorps College Completion Coaches (Coaches) provide intensive support to students in reaching academic milestones that are proven to increase their likelihood of success. Coaches also engage students in activities and events that create awareness and address community needs. Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness

The Executive Director of Institutional Effectiveness will provide strategic direction and leadership to the institution in terms of assessment, data collection, compliance and accreditation. The position will plan, set objectives, prioritize and direct the workload for the Office, which serves as an office of record and clearinghouse for information regarding the college. The Executive Director will oversee the management of the college-wide strategic planning and effectiveness processes. The Executive Director will report directly to the VP of Academic Affairs and lead the office with a focus on integrity, continuous improvement, and service to the college’s stakeholders, within a supportive work environment.  A master's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education with a major in higher education administration or business administration plus five (5) years demonstrated successful experience in the fields of education, research, or planning is required.  Also required is three (3) to - five (5) years of experience in accreditation, preferably working with Higher Learning Commission accreditation requirements, standards and site visit preparations.  Individuals interested  may view the complete job description and apply hrough the posting at HigherEd Jobs.

 

Associate Dean of Workforce Development

Eastern Gateway Community College invites applications for a full-time Associate Dean of Workforce Development position that will be based at the Jefferson County Campus.  The Associate Dean of Workforce Development is responsible for a range of programs and functions within the College to support its training and workforce development initiatives and to promote occupational and community learning by building strong connections between EGCC and the community it serves. The Associate Dean reports to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.A master's degree in education, business, marketing or a related field is required.  Also required is three (3) years of full-time related professional or managerial experience in sales, adult education, training workforce development or a related field with a proven track record of acquiring new business. Dean of Academics

Student Services Specialist

The part-time position of Student Services Specialist will assist and support prospective students interested in attending EGCC.  The position is responsible for the basic day-to-day tasks of providing customer service to ensure students have completed the initial admission process.  The Student Services Specialist will utilize excellent organizational and communication skills and prioritize duties while multi-tasking.  This position will be located at our campus in Steubenville, Ohio.


Financial Aid Specialist 

The full-time bargaining unit position of Financial Aid Specialist will provide varied support services to the Director of Student Financial Services as well as specialized tasks related to student financial aid programs.  Responsible with other staff to greet and wait on students on a walk-in basis.  High school graduate required, associate degree preferred and at least two years general clerical experience.  Courses taken at the college level for accounting/business is also preferred.  There are two positions available.  One is College funded, one is grant-funded.  Both are located in Steubenville, Ohio.

 

Receptionist

This is a temporary part-time position.  Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:  greet students and visitors; answer and route phone calls to the appropriate individual or department and handle incoming and outgoing mail.

Required qualifications include high school diploma with clerical experience preferred.  Must be courteous, reliable, dependable, and punctual. 

One position is available at the Steubenville campus.

 

Student Navigator & Program Coordinator

Eastern Gateway Community College invites applications for the full-time Student Navigator & Program Coordinator position. This grant-funded position will be located at the Eastern Gateway Community College’s main campus in Steubenville, Ohio.  The Student Navigator & Program Coordinator will work with students in the Machining and Welding Programs, provide case management and data collection, and will also work with industry/businesses to assist with job placement, note trends in workforce demands, and detail tracking as necessary under the TAACCCT Grant.  Flexible schedule will be required.

 

Administrative Assistant & Data Collector

Eastern Gateway Community College is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant & Data Collector.  This position will provide administrative assistance to the Director of Energy and Engineering Initiatives supporting the TAACCCT Grant, and will also be responsible for data collection and analytics for the grant.  Minimum of an Associate’s degree in a related business field with one year experience in an administrative setting is required.  Travel between the main campus in Steubenville, Ohio and the college site in Youngstown, Ohio will be required.

 

Enrollment Specialist

Eastern Gateway Community College invites applications for the position of Enrollment Specialist.  The Enrollment Specialist will be responsible for the support, recruitment, enrollment and retention of students at the College.  A Bachelor's degree is required. Three to five years of experience in enrollment services is preferred. Travel, evening and weekend hours may be required.   There are four positions available.  Two part-time College funded, and two full-time grant funded.  All five positions are located at the College campus in Steubenville, Ohio. 

 

Adjunct (part-time) Teaching Positions 

Eastern Gateway Community College invites applications for the following adjunct faculty positions which are needed at various sites in Jefferson, Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull counties.   Candidates must possess excellent written and oral communications skills with an ability to teach a diverse student body.  May teach a combination of day, evening, or weekend classes.  Unless otherwise specified, successful candidates must have a master’s degree in the discipline.  If the candidate has a master's degree in a related field then 18+ credits in the specific discipline are necessary. 1-3 years’ teaching experience preferred.

State Tested Nurses Aid Instructor (STNA) primary instructor; current RN license, 2 years long term care experience, Train the Trainer qualification.

The successful candidate must have a B.S.N., current valid licensure with the State of Ohio, and at least two years’ experience in the practice of nursing.  

 

 

COMMUNICATIONS

Master's degree in communications or master's degree with 18 graduate hour in communications required. Position available at our main campus in Steubenville, Ohio.
