Eastern Gateway Community College is accredited by the Commission of Higher Learning of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), 30 N. LaSalle St., Suite 2400, Chicago, Ill., 800-621-7440. The commission's web site is www.ncahigherlearningcommission.org.

The college was initially accredited during the NCA's annual meeting in 1973. The college was re-accredited in 1976, 1981, 1989, 1997, and 2007.

The Dental Assisting Certificate Program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Education, American Dental Association. The Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate, and EMT-Paramedic courses are approved by the Ohio Department of Public Safety Services Division of EMS; the program number is 5-3-011. The Medical Assisting Certificate Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) on recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for the Medical Assistant Education; the program number is 3804. The Clinical Laboratory Technician Program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratories Sciences (NAACLS); the program number is 034084 MLT.

The School of Practical Nursing is approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing and the Ohio Department of Education, Division of Vocational Education; the program number is 31047. The Radiologic Technology Program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). The program number is 0274000. The Respiratory Therapy Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) on recommendation of the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (COARC); the program number is 200326.
