Net Price Calculator

The Higher Education Opportunity Act (HEOA) of 2008 requires all colleges to disclose a Net Price Calculator to help current and prospective students, families, and other consumers estimate the individual net price of an institution of higher education for a student. Estimated net price is defined as the difference between an institution’s average total price of attendance (the sum of tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and other expenses, including personal expenses and transportation for first-time, full-time undergraduate students who receive aid) and the institution’s median need- and merit-based grant aid awarded. Currently, the calculator uses cost and financial aid data from the 2009-2010 academic year.

Students and parents may use the Net Price Calculator (NPC) to obtain an ESTIMATE of what is may cost to attend Eastern Gateway Community College each year. It is important to note that the information you receive from the NPC is a broad estimate only. There are many factors that come into play when financial aid is awarded to students, including, but not limited to: deadlines, funding levels, grade levels
and academics.

The NPC does not incorporate Federal Direct Stafford loans (Subsidized and Unsubsidized) into the financial aid calculations. Students filing a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are eligible for low interest loans through the Federal Direct Stafford Loan program. Loan amounts available to students vary based on the student’s dependency status and grade level.
