Nursing LPN to RN ACCESS Program
Eastern Gateway Community College offers at its Jefferson Campus in Steubenville and at its Valley Center in Youngstown the LPN to RN ACCESS Program, which is designed for current licensed practical nurses who aspire the registered nurse associate degree.
This nursing program has three main components:Students in this program will take general education and developmental classes and will receive credits toward the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree for completion of the LPN training. The clinical component is completed at facilities in Jefferson, Mahoning and surrounding counties.

Support coursework consists of courses in anatomy and physiology, microbiology, nutrition, chemistry, writing, psychology, sociology and mathematics. A nursing academic advisor is available at Eastern Gateway for students inquiring about their support course work.

The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) Degree Program for LPN to RN is approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
Students are advised to follow the more detailed college catalog for program requirements once admitted into the program.
