Academic Help/Tutoring

FREE peer tutoring is available to all students through the Academic Intervention office. Students needing academic help in any subject area are matched with peer tutors for assistance.

Main Campus—Students can obtain a peer tutor by stopping at the Student Success Center, room 1511 on the Jefferson County Campus or by calling 740.264.5591 x1771.
Valley Center—Students can obtain peer tutoring by calling 740.264.5591 x1771.

Online or on-campus students may take advantage of FREE online tutoring through At this website, enter the username and password received from the Academic Intervention coordinator. Etutoring offers tutoring 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Students can have papers reviewed in less than 48 hours as well as live tutoring in anatomy and physiology, chemistry, math (basic through calculus), statistics, digital literacy, and biology.

Students needing help in English, reading, math, or computer technology are assisted by stopping in the Student Success Center on the main campus. The center is available at various times Monday through Thursdays and is staffed by EGCC instructors and assistants. No appointment is needed and the service is free to all enrolled students. Students at the main campus in Steubenville who feel they need improvement in managing time, getting organized, improving listening skills, managing stress, taking notes, and/or improving study skills can visit the Academic Intervention coordinator in the Student Success Center, room 1509 for assistance. Students enrolled in the TRIO program can obtain this counseling through the TRIO office.
